A little to know about Steam before creating a Steam Account : -
Steam in Brief: Steam is an online Platform that distributes game on the internet which are Protected by DRM, it is one of the most popular market places on the internet to buy games, softwares and much more. Steam charges on money to use the steam software but the games available on steam are puchasable and free depending on the games.
[According to Steam Policies you have to be 13 years of age or older in order to create an account on steam.]
Things required to setup your Steam Account :-
1] Active Mail ID[Gmail, Yandex etc]
2]Active Internet Connection
Note:- I will be using Gmail id to create a steam account in this tutorial.
Steps:-
1.Log in your gmail Id in any browser.
Basically fill your Username and Password and then click on next, your account will log in.
2. After Logging in your mail Account, open a new tab in your browser and visit on the Steam Homepage and then click on install steam and install it in your desired location[It is suugested that you install it on that drive which has a lot of free space because a lot of games require huge space}.
3.After successfully installing steam on your PC, click on "CREATE AN ACCOUNT", after click on it, you will have to
[a] enter your email address that you wish to use and have logged in already in step 1.
[b] re Enter Your email address to make sure there are no mistakes.
[c] you have to choose your country of residence.
[d] you have to fill a captcha
[e]then tick mark on " I agree AND am 13 years if age or older"
after doing all the things mentioned above click on Continue.
4.after clicking on "Continue", a new dialogue box will pop-up like shown below, go to your mail account and click on the new inbox message by steam.
5. After that click on "CREATE MY ACCOUNT",
performing this action, your account will be successfully created on steam.
6.Below is the confirmation message of account creation by steam, now close this dialogue box.
7.after successfully creating your steam account, now you have to choose your username on steam,
everyone on steam is assigned a unique username which it asks while logging into steam, so make sure you choose your steam account username carefully and always remember it is "CASE SENSITIVE, after successfully choosing a steam username enter a strong password and write it down somewhere offline and always remember not to share any of your steam details with anyone[including username, password, mail id, mail id password]
8. after successfully creating you steam account and choosing your username and password, its time to log in in to your account, so fill your your username and password and click on "LOGIN" . [Do not click on "remember my password" if you are sitting on a public system which is accessible by others as your account might get revoked by someone, click on "remeber my password" only if you use that pc and nobody can access the PC in your absence.]
9.after logging in you will see you steam library like shown below, now as you have successfully created your steam account, we have to setup your profile in order to make your visible to other steam users, so we will cover that part in our next tutorial.
